Dear NWCCD Students & Staff,
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon recently announced a ban on TikTok from all state electronic devices and networks. This was a precaution taken for cybersecurity reasons, due in part to the app’s foreign ownership and potential misuse of information collected through downloads and usage of the app. Wyoming joined at least 12 other states and the U.S. Congress in this ban. Here is a link to the Governor’s memo detailing his concerns and mandatory action.
In compliance, TikTok will not be accessible from any college-owned device or network at any of the Sheridan College, Sheridan College in Johnson County or secondary locations.
